Visit to the Library

Today I visited the City Library, I haven't been there for quite some time now and it was really nice to be back. The sound of the water in the fountain, the hushed silence, people working at the computers... That part I don't get though, don't people have computers and internet at home by now? I would much rather sit at my own computer, I really dislike using other computers, even my husbands. My own computer is just better, its familiar.

I went home with The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I been planning to read it for some time now but people always seem to get there ahead of me but now they finally had it. I was almost pondering buying it instead, I still might tho if its any good. I did read the first two pages on my way home and did really like the way he writes, the flow of the language.
I also borrowed Children of the Flames: Dr. Josef Mengele and the Untold Story of the Twins of Auschwitz. You know a book will get to you when you are tear eyed from just reading the preface. I had planned to buy this book on a book sale years ago but for some reason I never did and now I am finally getting around to reading it.
We also went home with 2 books about Swedish history by Herman Lindqvist that my father suggested we should read. All in all four books, husband think they will last us some time but I think I will finish at least one by the end of the week, maybe two if them are as good as they seem.

I do love books, they get me all happy. I love libraries, I do however hate people that write in library books. Some moron had underlined parts in Children of the Flames, I wish I could find that person and beat him up with the heaviest book I own!

Over and out
