We just finished watching 67th annual Golden Globe awards. And I guess I will have to watch Avatar now. From what I seen it really looks great, but I want the story to be wonderful as well. It isn't only looks people!Still pouting a bit that Stanley Tucci didn't win Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Lovely Bones but I think I will survive. I will growl if he don't get an Academy Awards nomination however! The guy really sent chills down my spine, so creepy in that movie. I need to re-watch it some day.
The big surprise for me was that Sandra Bullock won Best Actress: Drama for The Blind Side. I never been a Bullock fan, I think she tends to go for the silly roles that while charming have very little dept. The Proposal for example, I find her quite terrible in that one, I never understood why the guy would ever fall in love with her character. She is horrid!
As usual watching an award show like this give you a few tips of movies to watch. I guess I will have to watch Precious, Nine, It's Complicated, Crazy Heart, Invictus and I am also pondering watching Sherlock Holmes even though my dear husband scowls at it.
So many movies to watch! And within a month the nominations for Academy Awards will be announced! Very much looking forward to that. I do love the Academy Awards. I will sit up all night and watch it. I even hope to have some bubble to go with it. Anyone wanna come over and watch it with us? Just let us know!
